2010 San Diego Portrait Photographer of the year

Jeff Davidson is a portrait photographer operating out of his private studio located in east county San Diego, CA. He has been involved with photography off and on since high school and his days in the Marine Corps. At one point while shooting his son playing baseball he decided to turn it into a side business shooting kids in action, playing football and baseball. This eventually leading shooting models for various art projects and commercial ventures and with a slow evolution into portraits.

Recently he decided that working for someone else and trying to maintain a growing portrait studio was just to much and he has since gone full time into photography and hasn’t looked back. To continue his education he has joined several professional photographer organizations such as the Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of California and the Professional Photographers of San Diego. With in his first year he has earned the PPSDC Portrait Photographer of the Year, PPSDC Image of the year as well as several images showing nationally. Also to give back and share what he has learned he has accepted the position of Vice President of the PPSDC. Jeff also has many works published in various national and international magazines.

Jeff continues his education in photography. Keeping up with new process and techniques as well as sharing what he has learned with others coming up in the industry. Being mainly self taught and mentored he believes in paying it forward is always the way to go.

On the personal side Jeff has lived in Santee with his wife, 2 kids and 2 cocker spaniel for over 16 years.
